Stately Living in Nashville, Tennessee
This stately Nashville home, a 1920s antebellum, had the best of Southern neoclassical architecture. But the early-twentieth-century rooms were too small for the owners’ growing family and comfortable entertaining. Rooms were opened up to create easy circulation between the main areas – reception, dining, and living quarters. The handsome original staircase in the entry was carefully preserved, setting a gracious note of neoclassic formality.
